Windows 10

@balajik I guess with Windows Device Recovery Tool you would get WP8.1 back on your Lumia 720. I guess your phone may have out of memory to install W10M. I never faced this issue on Lumia 830 which has 16 GB internal memory.

@AbhishekMSharma I guess you can try with Windows Insider to get Preview version on W10M. Latest .164 is quite stable, and it is also sent as Production version for official release.

Yes, I used WDRT to reinstall WP 8.1. Weirdly, it only installed the Cyan update. Then, I updated the phone to Denim, OTA.

I checked using Upgrade Advisor and WP10 wasn't available for 720. Let's hope the X20 series will get WP10 in the future.

Technical shit.

Run Bash on Ubuntu on Windows

Based off your feedback we’ve done a couple things: First we made investments that improve cmd, PowerShell, and many other command-line tools and developer scenarios. Second we decided to grow our command line family by adding real, native Bash and with it support for Linux command-line tools which run directly on Windows in an environment that behaves like Linux!
To accomplish this, we built new infrastructure within Windows – the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) – upon which we run a genuine Ubuntu user-mode image provided by our great partners over at Canonical, creators of Ubuntu Linux.
You can now run Bash scripts, Linux command-line tools like sed, awk, grep, and you can even try Linux-first tools like Ruby, Git, Python, etc. directly on Windows. You can also access your Windows filesystem from within Bash allowing you to work on the same set of files using your preferred Windows tools or Linux command-line tools.

I always used CYGWIN (10yrs back - dont use windows anymore)

Good to see BASH in windows 10 supported natively.

But in the mean time I have switched to ZSH!

Now I want ZSH native support!! :P

Finally some relief, all other articles had no workaround for LAN connections wish got to know of this much earlier but still very useful for future.
