Maybe some server or dns issues...I am facing the same problems with some sites but not with yahoo or hotmail....they work in the morning but not in afternoon and again start to work in the evening...

The MTU Value needs to be changed.
Open the Configuration page>>>>go to the Setup>>>
Select BSNL>>>>>change the MTU value from 1492 to 1452>>>apply

In the modem configuration.`for the D-Link ones,type 192.168.1.1 in the explorer. User name and passwords are 'admin'this solved my problem of yahoo and many other sites
i was facing almost the same problem with yahoo sites and yahoo mails, but somebody suggested that I install the flash player and make the DNS changes, i tried and its working fine both on IE and Firefox, it might work for you too. I dunno how helpful that can be but give it a try...
