In case of multiroom connections .. one cannot replace the primary box .. cos ur primary box's ID is linked to ur packages .. So they will drop the other box and add the HD box to it ..Either way its not a prob .. isn't it? U just need to get the connection running on both boxes and then use whtever box at any tv set of urs ..Also if u just have a single connection then its not an issue at all .. cos they will just replace the old box with new one .. They will use the same digicard (of the old box) ..

Turns out that they dont have a old primary subscriber cancellation policy, so what they can do for you is make the HD as secondary, then transfer the primary SD STB to the new HD making it the new primary and rendering the SD Stb as secondary , and then drop the the secondary. But while they do that, if you have subscribed to any annual mega package you would have to forfeit the remaining months of the same.

Probably you need to read the entire thread again to really grasp the issue. I've a multiroom connection with Annual saver package, say i've one primary and 1 addon connection and I've only two TVs and wanna upgrade both. So how do I do that ???

Tata Sky becoming worst and worst... Dish Tv has an option to exchange the current SD box with HD. And if we exchange our current box with HD, we get Rs.400/- credit in our account. TS just wanna earn profit and profit only. They dnt think abt the best for customers... im switching to Dish Tru HD in some days...

First just buy on TS HD box and ask them to convert your primary box to HD. They will ask you if you want to return your original box ( old Stb ) Say no as you may plan to use it later one. Once the primary box is changed and you have HD installed , after a week go for multiroom connection and buy another HD box. Don't bother too much for the Rs 400 credit dish tv is giving, their service sucks bug time and the feedback for HD is not good.

And u wat u need to take platinum pack compulsory which cost Rs 325 pm + HD PAck Rs 100 pm. U cannot downgrage to lower pack
