Just because the code for user agent detection isn't visible doesn't mean they are not targeting non-chrome browsers.

I guess this is why Google is so interested in developing new protocol that would block anything from modifying code.

Just tried this experiment with firefox incognito + adblock there is no extra 5sec delay, only the first time homepage takes sometime to load but that normal behavior.

If you are using an AdBlock plugin, its possible the fix is already applied.

Hmm could be but I don't use Firefox much so ublock plugin rules must be outdated.
Will try again without adblocker.
