BSNL Broadband is now offering 8mbps as minimum speeds on almost all their plans

Is BSNL Broadband capable of providing 8mbps speeds in your area?

So late last night, I was able to manually activate HB again from the link (http://172.30.83.134:9090/ssssnpm/promotional.jsp). The usage stats page now shows that I have activated HB twice. Previously, once it displayed I had activated HB once, then the next day it displayed I hadn't, and today it displays I activated it twice!!

I'm thoroughly confused. Maybe it's a temporary glitch which will resolve itself in Bsnl's own time.

Strange, the Happy Browsing page would refuse to load while I was under the FUP limit the last 3 days. Today I crossed the limit and the speed dropped to 2 Mbps and it immediately redirected to the Happy Browsing page and now it's activated again after clicking on it. Oh well, can't complain. Another month of truly unlimited data.

@sniper i too had this last month showing 2 HB service. at one time even when i activated HB the service was not working, the data used were been added to the base service. so i activated again.

i think HB is still there like you said may be its because of some minor issues with the service users are getting errors.
hope they will fix them.
the HB offer has made many join BSNL and i dont think they will withdraw it leaving many to find other alternatives.
or they should increase the after FUP speed to 4mbps atleast

Considering the competition (Jio mobile) doesn't cross 4mbps on a busy day / hour, I don't think they'd push the post-FUP speed to 4mbps in the near future. Of course, it'd be awesome, if they do it. The government has so much money. They can spend it on BSNL (not in salaries, though :) ).
