BSNL Broadband is now offering 1mbps as minimum post FUP speeds

There is a confusion.

My plan: UL 1445

As per Calcutta Telephones website: 2mbps up to 30GB, 1mbps thereafter
As per 172.30.83.14: 4mbps upto 30GB. 1mbps thereafter

Can someone shed some light on this?

I am happy with ULD 1445 but I will go through plans again and change if I think the current plan is worth.

But I am not able to understand why BSNL technical person is saying that plan is 2 mbps till 30 GB.

Is up-gradation different state-wise?

@Saurav

Actually The problem is they dont have info regarding this
I visited my bsnl office on 5 August
And
Even broadband sdo dont have news
I told him that bsnl increased fup to 1Mbps from 512kbps

Seems right. The person I talked to was clueless. He knew about the increase in FUP limit though.

ULD 1445 (Old): 2 mbps till 20 GB, 1 mbps thereafter
ULD 1445 (New): 4 mbps till 30 GB, 1 mbps thereafter

Now, I've seen on Calcutta Telephones & KeralaTelecom that ULD 1445 will give 2 mbps till 30 GB, 1 mbps thereafter but on the FUP check link it is showing as this - "HS-I-H-4MB-30GB-1MB-M"

Knowing that BSNL staff would not be very keen on discussing this, I need to write again to Nodal/Appellate officer to get clarification.

This is the wort part of bsnl
Bsnl have everything but they never utilize in right way
This is very good move that fup is 1Mbps but
They are not advertising it
Even bsnl officers dont know about it

so finally got my downstream to 4000 , but getting only 3.28 mbps , I`m 3.5 Kms away from the telephone exchange .

Planing to downgrade my plan to BBG Combo ULD 999 or BBG ULD1275 from BBG Combo ULD 1495 .

can we expect more changes in BSNL with Jio coming up ?? soon ?

What else can they do if their network is terrible enough to not even support 4mbps speeds.

Nope I wouldn't..it took 8 years for them to change from 512kbps to 1Mbps..all of their planning is derived from "shubh muharat" and technological advancement has nothing to do with it..[emoji1] [emoji14]

I'm on a 8 MBps plan, but the cables are in deep shite......... cannot support even 4 MBps reliably.
15 minute shower of rain and the connection is gone, I'm fed up of complaining.
