Tata Sky DTH is rebranding to Tata Play. Don't know if it is limited to just DTH or will include their FTTH broadband as well.

Looks like yes. Disney is planning to sell its stake in a couple of months.

Could have come up with a better name though.

They will have a complete say in every decision(features) they want to make regards to competition by the other players as they own a huge chunk of stake now. Like they might start offering DTH through Fiber. I mean that can be done. This can work for apartments

IPTV really needs to make a comeback tbh. Reliance Jio is the only one doing it right?

Nah, they are just giving STB where you can watch content from OTT and if available plug in your Hathway/den connection for live TV.

Airtel was the only big player with iptv. Really sad they shut it down. Don't know why IP multicast isn't being adopted. Even now DTH players keep waiting for ISRO to release more satellites and make available transponders so that DTH players can expand HD offerings.
