so there is no mechanical handle in the variant you ordered... it unlocks and you use a regular handle to open the door?
 
still tempting :D i need to tell the plumber to not install a regular lock on the door in the meantime.
 
Door locks are built to last. And they don't get software updates frequently.

I don't see the point of not getting samsung one and instead opting for local ones.
 
lol. called up a few dealers that i located online. no one would give a price list. first tell us model. then come for a demo. and then we can discuss pricing. what the f.
 
I was once interested with Keyless IP based locks. Then gave up the idea because of US and India lock system mis-matches which will lead to installation issues. I remember looking at Lokitron then and many others like it:

assuming it does not require the internets for proximity locking/unlocking, it can work for me :D
 
It does not need internet. There are various models, some use your phone's bluetooth, most of them do remote unlock/lock, you can send keys on email to your visitor if you are away and other stuff.
