I am looking into APC, seems expensive same is the case with iball , luminous. The asiapower model comes with AVR as well will act as stabilizer too.

APC is good. But try checking with local vendors about the UPS having service centres nearby your place. At my place, iBall and Microtek rules.

I have an APC 1KVA UPS which I'm using since the last three years. Have used their after sales service to get the battery replaced during the warrsnty time but that didn't last long (thanks Exide). I finally changed the batteries myself to Amaron ones and it's working fine since more than a year and giving almost identical backup time when I installed new batteries.

I did consider service centers asia power does not list any on website, will check with local vendor once. He only has asiapower ready to sell in the 1kva category, the rest will have to be ordered or i will have to order online or visit more stores. Also the model comes with 2 years warranty for unit and battery.

I have an APC one 1000kva was around 7k. I figured if you are going to get a 1000kva UPS you might as well get the best in the market and not buy cheapo crapo ones. And no regrets, takes a lot of beating daily with random bangalore power cuts and never had trouble with it. Great aftersales service. You can replace or add batteries at will. New one should last around 2 years. If budget were not a constraint I'd go for it.

Also, never run out of internet as it can easily run the modem for 3 hours +
