Its 20th of May now..... How long ACT's gonna test my patience ?????
They are going to test it for a while buddy, hang on tight.
Final update on installation: 12 days after payment collection, they cabling engineers (a team of 4) showed up at the house and attached the cables from the roof (where it has been for over a week) to the box (installed the day before) and they were done. This activity took 15 mins. But then they had to stick around for another 45 min to activate the connection. Here, I'd like to believe, my exhibited frustration combined with their good nature, led them to stick around and not leave till this activity was done. I was almost expecting them to put the final step on hold for a later date. But they hung about the house and finally after an hour, logged me into the network.
The experience was very frustrating, but currently the network is up and running at promised speeds. I can only hope that this continues for the forseeable future.
