ACT Broadband Bangalore Reviews

Dear ACTian...

There were mixed response from people in this forum about ACT broadband service. The only thing which i am concerned is Customer Service. I am willing to apply for ACT BB connection but i need one thing in return and that is Quality of Customer Service. I want complete satisfaction from your side. Since you provide Optical fiber broadband that will result in good speed but do make sure that there is no break down in connections. I am staying near Kadugondanahalli (Arabic College). I took the connection a week back. Speed has been good so far. However their customer service is inexperienced and they have very bad turn around time to resolve an issue. There has been an outage for the entire day today. According to their SLA , turn around time is 4 to 24 hrs , which according to me is bad.
 
Well the issue got resolved after 2 days. I am not sure how their service is going to be a month or later from now , but I must say a few words about their service over the last couple of days.After the call was registered the I could see technical team hovering around the hub box ( opp house ) the same day, early next morning and consequently many times later. I would still rate them positive on this in terms of diligence shown. It was only today when they said that the cable was stolen , which is quite a plausible reason. The call center executives were courteous and they followed up the complaint quite well. The technician apologized agreed that it took much more time than it should have and that it should have been resolved much earlier. For the honest answer I would say the guy deserves a pat on the back. I hope they continue to improve their service. Speeds have been consistently good.
 
So i am not alone.As soon as i applied a guy by name Manjunatha had come and taken a cheque and documents.He said the connection would be provided by SUnday aftrenoon.Now this guy does not even pick my call.Their supportline does not work 24*7.So when u have a problem,you will not even be able to log a complaint.Useless broadband.Am totally against it.U cud only survive if no problems arise.But thats something to worry after your connection is available
 
I am happy to be a customer of ACT though I had my initial doubts... the service has been excellent so far. Even when I had downtime due to a cable which was cut, it was attended by the customer care on the same day.. My service was restored within 24 hours.. Keep up the good work and you will see a lot more customers shifting from other ISP's to ACT... :)

I applied to act bb they before yesterday evening, by yesterday afternoon i got the connection and now my download speed is 10.2 mbps and i have unlimited upload. They also exchanged my old adsl D-Link router to new Cisco dsl wifi router free of cost which they installed and configured today morning, which is working more than fine. But i am honestly surprised to see all the complaints below. How on earth can a service be A-class towards some customers and go right down to C-class to others??

Do you provide service for J.P.Nagar 5th Phase?

Currently we are not in JP Nagar, but will launch soon.
