i am getting 80kbps in torrents i tried modem restart.pc restart everything but from today afternnoon i am getting only 80kbps in torrent but in direct i get full downloaddoes airtel cap the torrent speed tp 100kbps?

Yesterday I tried SOD in night after 10 Pm (as I got some free SOD ) but my torrent speed touched max of 40KBPS... Even though speedtest was showing 2 MBPS, but torrents have not gone above 40 kbps,

So they are even throttling torrent for SOD...

----------

Ultimately Airtel has given us a better FUP of 75 / 150 Gb but they put restriction on Torrents ...

I hope everybody can understand why Airtel is giving you better FUP now ?

They know using 75Gb in one month without Torrents is not possible for a large number of users who actually use this much of bandwidth as most of that goes into P2P only...

It happened with me too, sometimes the SOD was not working, like it said activated but i was not getting any 2mbps speed but after 10-15mins it was fine.

I am also getting low speed (45-50kbps) during day in Delhi. I ran Glassost test at 10:45 am, and here's the result:Is your upload traffic rate limited? There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your uploads. However, some of the measurements were affected by noise, which limits Glasnost ability to detect rate limiting.Details: There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your BitTorrent uploads. In our tests, uploads using control flows achieved up to 391 Kbps while uploads using BitTorrent achieved up to 392 Kbps. The measurement data is too noisy to detect whether your ISP rate limits traffic on port 6881. Re-running the test while ensuring that no other downloads or uploads are running in the background might fix this problem. Is your download traffic rate limited? There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your downloads. What does this mean???

What does this mean???

tl;dr: Nothing is throttled.

There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your uploads.
Your uploads are not throttled.

self explanatory.

background data transfer is causing problems - don't do stuff like downloads, music streaming, video play back while testing.

Thanks Sathya, but if my downloads are not throttled, why my torr dnload speed is less than 50kbps in day, but increases to full 250+Kbps at night?

Depends. peers during day might be different. Not enough seeds/peers. Congested networks. Lots of variations.

Nope, my peer count remain the same, its just that after 10 am, the speed automatically decreases. I am assuming that I am also a victim of airtel's new torr download throttling policy :(
