Airtel Broadband Double Speed for Rs. 100 Offer

Man, I've already tried my luck with this twice. They said it's not available for Turbo 1299 & Swift 1099.

Funny, but the Karnataka care team seems to reply to my mail by the stipulated time of 8 working hours, mostly by 2-3 working hours max and are very polite and get my problems fixed pronto. I don't understand why they are not doing it for the rest of India.

yes..they keep on saying its not applicable to your plan, this plan, that plan...but have they EVER confirmed positively, which plan it is ACTUALLY APPLICABLE in Pune ?

I got it activated to 2Mbps just last night after a very long wait from Fed 6 th the day i sent the SMS. For me it happened on the beginning of the next billing cycle. And never believe what the CC ppl tell you...they have no control over this... when I called them 2 days back one guy bluntly told that the offer got over on Feb 5th which was very irresponsible. But when I spoke again another guy said I was eligible and it will take 2 days time. It's better to lodge a complaint b4 the 12 days gets over so that they will at least follow up the complaint raised.

If u haven't seen the tariff for Andhra Pradesh -> Hyderabad so far have a look at it for sure. How come the tariff plans costs are that much low?

The CC rep I talked to consulted with someone who's in-charge of the offer. If you have placed the request for this offer on or before 25th, you will get it with a high probability. After 25th, not so much.I placed my request on 20th but since I was on Explorer 1099(384kbps/1mbps), it didn't count even though I got the automated reply to my SMS stating that it will be activated in a week or something. The rep said that if I didn't get a call from CC after 2 or 3 days from sending the SMS, I wasn't going to get the offer. Or at least that's what I was told.Also inquired about the FUP. With this upgrade, if you reach the FUP limit of 100GB, your speed will be halved. i.e., you will be back to your original speed. Would've been a pretty sweet deal if I could've got this offer.

I just got a call from Airtel today, the last day of the time frame that they said would take for the "Double Speed" to get activated, and he tells me that it can't be activated on my plan because the speeds are different during the day and nightime. I tell him to wake up and see that my plan has already been changed to Swift 1099 with 512 the whole day even before the last billing cycle ended. He gives me another reference/complaint number and says the double speed will be activated in 3 days max. F***ing morons!
