My friend has it. I was thinking of getting new connection with that plan. So, my question is how do I get it. Do they still provide that plan as Airtel site have removed listing from their page Airtel

Solution
I am talking about popular torrents. Cant name them here.
Get the 100mbps plan for now, and if you feel the need of more speed, get it upgraded to 200. Remember to get Airtel BB Postpaid connection else you wont be able to change the plan on prepaid one.
torrent speeds depend on seeders. i never got any speed issue on any popular torrents on both airtel and jio fiber

If you take 6months 40mbps, or 3months 100mbps, you cant change plan if it is prepaid connection. Plan can be changed only if it is postpaid or Airtel Black. Dont spread false information.

@rajat_ 40mb/s for 5-10 devices streaming at the same time wont be enough.
Infact, 40mb/s gets saturated if 3 devices are streaming at the same time.

Also for 40Mbps plan, only a dumb person will use a wifi 6 router. My TP-Link Archer C6 handles 12 devices sucking bandwidth at the same time and I dont feel any CPU throttling.

40 Mbps is more than enough for 5-10 devices. Have a look at this Video
No one is facing any torrent blocking on Airtel and you just straight up saying that they are blocked is misleading for someone who has a genuine question and is making a purchase decision.

New connections are prepaid only. You need to mention postpaid/airtel black to get one. :)
I just told him everything so that he doesnt get stuck with the same plan.

@rajat_ oh I see. I think you are new to torrents. I cant name torrents here which are blocked by supreme court of India. But But

@Sushubh bro can you please confirm if popular torrents are blocked on Airtel Fiber.

Exactly my point, the magnet file is not easy to get on Airtel. I am not saying anything about speeds. I am just facing a lot of torrents blocking issue, so routing torrents through Excitel.

I used to get the "This website is blocked by Honble Supreme Court of India" message.

That is the case with all ISPs, not only Airtel. They need to adhere with govt guidelines.
When you say torrent blocking, it clearly means that you are unable to download torrents because it's blocked by your ISP, which is not true. It's a peer to peer connection after all and once you have the file, there's no issue if there are decent number of peers.
