Airtel Broadband: Static IP with Airtel

That bug of usage not counting on static ip was prevalent from days of adsl when net speed was 4mbps iirc.

hahaha, that's true, not sure why they changed my router and disabled static ip.

I am chasing the support team and net@airtel since 2 weeks to enable static ip or allocate new static ip. So I cant confirm this now.

BTW did you try talking to them via 121 directly and register complaint from there?

yes, raised request multiple times. Today backend team enabled the same static IP and technician visited for configuration. Static IP is working now but with the same planned speed. Looks like end of "ache din" in Hyderabad.

It's better to switch back to dynamic PPPOE configuration for IPv6 connectivity and better/doubled torrenting speed (IPV4 + IPV6)

Hey One Question My Static IP Location Is Has Changed Previously It Was Showing The Location To Be Banglore Later It Was Lucknow And Now It Has Changed To Delhi...
1.Why Is this happening ?
2.Is it normal for this to happen ?
3.Does It Affects Anything On My Connection ?

That is normal I guess, my static IP location also changes, sometimes it shows delhi, then gurgaon, then jaipur. @mrps786
