just do not rub salt in other people's wounds. u have it, enjoy it. dont brag about it. don't assume that others have it too.

Sushubh, if you have a 2 x 256Kbps connection then you should be ideally getting 64KBps speeds or atleast 32KBps (if you have one link for yourself). Why do you get 10-15KBps?? Any problem from Airtel??

well i get 25K on pure downloads. on browing i hardly touch 15K. and 2x256 means 2 lines of 256. we have not fused them together. we are a bunch of people living together. so the bandwidth is often shared between 4 guys.

Oh, k, seems like ur living in a pg or sumthing...is there anyways of having two connections hooked up the same computer and getting double the speed ?

their is a softwar called wingate. i think u should research on that a bit. what i wanted was setting up a linux server and make it the bridging host. could not succeed.

if u has static ip then good enough .Other wise get a domian name frm no-ip.comand Serv-U FTP server supports dynamic address grabing :)

Its pretty complicated of getting 2 conn fused to get the max speed on 1 downlaod.

Absolutely no change here with 256K, think it's a fluke what Wizard got.Thing that annoys me..is the speed is never constant...it fluctuates a lot. The avg speed for 256kbs i find is more like 18-20KB/s. Yeah it goes to the high 20s then falls down. These are speeds i see coming from 10Mbit boxes, they have no speed issues at all.
