Airtel's 512kbps Unlimited Plan

strange that they called u and said its only 1599 skdMrk[ ? they charge like 1999+ taxes for this 512 unlimted plan,plz conmfirm what plan ur switching too so i will try to find out is this a new plan ....

I also upgraded from 999 unlimit 256kbps to 1999 at 512 , i can confirm that there is a 20% discount on the base rentals for old customers and this is for aperiod of 12 months, by the way does having a junction box in front of your house means you can get good speed ?

The distance from the exchange is what matters in a DSL line in terms of SNR etc, these speeds i.e 256Kbps etc aren't much of a problem to be achieved even far away from the exchange.

2000 bucks for 512kbps plan is pretty darn costlyure better off wid 2mbps NU from BSNL OR MTNL

MTNL too has night unlimited plan @2Mbps
DSL NU 849, where you get Speeds upto 2mbps, day time surfing is limited to 1.5GB but,You get Night hours unlimited from 12 AM to 8 AM

^^^^^^^It is quite expected that BSNL will shift the time to 0.00....after MTNL plan. But who knows abt these BSNL guys!!!

As promised by AirTel, today i was upgraded from 256 UL to 512 UL & I am getting full speed downloads at 60 - 62 kbps, even on torrents (only when u have good quality seeders):thumbsup:Its so worth the money (Rs.1599 per month):thumbsup:
