Generally 1-2 days hidden leeway is there.

If you talk to ICICI customer care, they reverse the late payment charge if you are a long time customer, but interest usually isn't.

They have refused, the only reason my card is still not cancelled because a payment done hasnt reflected yet so i cant pay it off. I cleared all outstanding to cancel the card. HDFC has waived off both interest and fee but not the GST earlier. I have a FD in the ICICI savings account linked to this card with more money than the outstanding its not like i cant pay the bill.

Get citi, they cancel charges even if it is clearly your fault and that too numerous times.

I was a day late in paying Citi CC payment this time, as I was travelling I totally forgot about the payment.

The due date was Nov 9, and I made the payment using CRED on Nov 10. Generally the payment is instant, however this time it took 2 days.

Called Citi and they said not to worry about it!

ICICI is refunding 1000 from the 3000 late fee. I want to register for auto debit this card using my HDFC savings account, is this possible. I dont see an option.

If I am not wrong, auto pay works if the CC is issued by the same bank. My HDFC CC has this potion.

so bill has to be paid manually if you dont have a icici savings account. I ahve a ICICI acc also but dont want to pay the bill from that account.
