Hello everyone !I've just joined this forum .I'm a BSNL broadband user but really pissed off with their pathetic service .its getting worse day by day .I need to watch a lot of lectures so I need a good broadband service with at least 2 MBPS speed plans ..I reside at Indiranagar A block ,I mean in the main city and it's a posh area but when I contacted airtel ,they said sir there is unavailability of tags ,their own sales person saying that "sir! there 3-4 pending connection in my own hands too but what to do when pairs are not free " .It's ridiculous when people are ready to pay for a new connection and company saying we are out of pair rather increasing the pair for further demands.I got to know that reliance has launched thunder plans with so economical rates and having good speed plans like 2 mbps/4 mbps .so anyone here from Lucknow Indiranagar area who can give me review about reliance thunder plans with exact download speeds and up timings .Thank you!

First thanks for the reply I want to ask further as you said "apart from downtime" so how much time it goes down as this is a common problem with reliance broadband when I look other posts related to reliance broadband ,so are you really satisfied with the uptime or somewhere you too feel that its irritating when net goes down a lot .I would appreciate if you can tell me that what plan you are using this time and what exact download speed when you download anything?Thanks!

Downtime depends on place to place i guess, but for me it was too much. Everyday I would only get 6 hours of net and rest downtime.I would have to call them wasting my time and money. And if you are calling them make sure you have enough balance because they take their sweet time to answer. Today i am facing very high pings and only 1mbps speed on 2mbps connection

Lol i forgot to mention, its a hard task to even get a connection; the marketing guys take your money and dont reply. Reliance has issues with equipment hence they dont install connection easily. If you ask for refund you'll get it back after 3months. Try to meet your local reliance technician and talk with him first.

I also live Indira Nagar Lucknow. I too have been suffering many outages recently. Fed up of BSNL but Airtel experience is not much better and Reliance is more popular for downtime. Also these road diggings for 4g cables, sewer,etc & possibily metro are not helping either.I am also looking for a better alternative but doesnt look ike Lucknow is not going to have some new comptetion in future But Read in some Hindi newspaper few days back that Den Cable service is going to provide BB in next few months. May look in their plans if any better and hopefully less outages .And then there is 4G (Reliance, Videocon & Tikona) by late next year which may spice up BB comptetion

DEN is available in Kanpur from last 5 years approx, still not available in whole Kanpur but feedbacks are good..

yup I too waiting for den broadband eagerly and I also read a review regarding this on a blog and found it good .I hope den would give a good service .I'm also fed up with sick services of BSNL broadband and Airtel; and reliance both says tags not available so I seriously need a good broadband .but in the review I found the reviewer stating that "[color=rgb(30,2,107);font-family:'Droid Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', 'Nimbus Sans L', sans-serif;font-size:17px;]The only caveat is that ICMP is completely blocked. Hence, ping and traceroute do not function. However, tcptraceroute does function partially." so would it be a problem anyway?? thank you again![/color]

You are correct ,same I'm facing for airtel .I've applied for their 1299 plan and have given initial amount with documents to their sales person named Mr Dilshad on 18th of july 2013.after few days they said its not possible to give you connection this time as free tags are not available for new connections since then I'm waiting for the refund of my money .they said it will come to my home address as a bank check but it's 22 September ,far more than 45 days and I'm still waiting for my refund.I think we' all need something to sue all these frauds in a sever way like as it happens in America so that companies know how scary it would be to play with consumer rights .sting921 said:
