Are their any specific settings for Vodafone 3G?

I am using Samsung Galaxy Mobile and i want to active 3g on it.Please anyone tell me how can i activate on it.

Vodafone Live also works fine for all mobile based applications - Facebook, chat messengers etc (atleast for me)

To connect it to laptop/PC you need Vodafone connect.

That's strange. Coz it never worked for me on my Galaxy 3. I have heard that Vodafone Live is only for WAP based services.

If you are on data plan - be very careful not to exceed it - else you will be charged at 10P/10Kb and at 3G speed - it will be a bamb in few minutes

You need vodafone mobile connect to access apps, I did that on my milestone. To be honest I think vodafone violates net neutrality. Too bad trai doesn't have the balls to make such laws. Also I activated 3g on my cellphone but I am not able to access it. Can anybody tell if 3g is available in thane.?

i live in kalwa, 3G works here but only on browser, application osenot work at all

I was not aware of Vodafone Mobile Connect, and used Vodafone Live for 2 months. WAP worked fine, but apps like Snaptu & Pushmail didnt work. It was until I read a thread here, I got to know about VMC. I got VMC and then all apps worked with it.
BTW many time Vodafone 3G is not working for me, I get error message as data connection not available (on my Nokia N95, in Pune)

I was a user of VL. I had the " Pay as you go" scheme. I came to know about VMC pretty late, So I didn't opt for it & planned to jump directly to 3g. I was excited after seeing the Vodafone#g advt on TV, only to realize that they haven't launched it yet But I came to know abt th free 3g trial in this forum. I msgd ACT 3G to 111. I Got 3g on my Xperia X10 only after a dozen or so trials. Now i have an 'H' on the top of my screen & the speed in the browser is pretty good. But I cannot use it for any of the apps, apart from the browser. So what's the problem ?? Any specific settings for this ??Btw, now. after I have been surfing the net with 3G speeds I got a msg saying that my phone doesn"t support 3g. huh ?? =0you telling me xperia x10 isn't a 3g device ??And the same thing happened with Vodafone TV.It said my phone doesn't support it. =\
