Auto Rikshaws Should be Banned In Delhi

10 reasons why auto rickshaws should be banned in Delhi.1) They do not know how to drive.2) They do not drive in a single lane.3) 95% of autos do not have their indicators working and they turn left/right without indicating.4) Their back-lights never work, so its really un-predictable when will they apply break. Hence we have to maintain a good amount of distance from them.5) Most of the auto rikshaw drivers drink and drive at night hence its very risky to hire an auto at night time.6) They rash drive even on busy roads.7) They do not obey traffic light rules.8) They overcharge the public.9) 98% of the autos are not ready to go on meter. They ask for a random and absurd amount of money.10) They create a mess on roads resulting to traffic jams.So how many of you agree me on this and how many of you do not and why?

not only in delhi. it is the problem allover india. the above said 10 points can be classified as their special qualifications/qualities. they use swear words if we don't give money as demanded by them

in mumbai they are much better. u hardly see rash driver. and most obey traffic rules. mostly because traffic police now hide intelligently and pops out from nowhere if they break signal!but yes lane crossing still exists.

in chennai, its too worst. they charge 5 times of fare. once they charged 50 rupees from u.s. consulate to a hotel which is just 250 meters far away.those idiots don't use meters.

thats why meters help. we face problem when we go out of mumbai, as one has no idea if u r charged properly or not.even if ricksaw wala has tampered the meters, u still have rough idea how much it cud be.

yeah auto walas are much better in mumbai. every where else they are a chaos. they charge insane amounts in pune also. every single auto there has its meter tampered. once when i was travelling in an auto in pune, i was shocked to see the meter running like hell. i simply told him to stop the auto and got off. i told him im not gonna pay you a single paisa, do what ever you can. one thing though, why are the auto fares in navi mumbai much more than in mumbai? the minimum amount is 11 while in mumbai its 9. they had increased the rates 2-3 months back. charges are quite a lot. i have just stopped travelling by auto. share auto ftw!

Yes they suck to the core...All autowallah are F***ing bastards in Delhi....Just hope to get great metro connectivity by 2010. On New year Eve metro was shut down at 6. and for 6 KM jouney f**ker charged me 150 BUCKS!!!!! (Thank God now Phone Cabs are there 43434343, 15/KM for AC cab and service is ultra cool)Mumbai auto guys are best in country...God bless themPune is not bad man. I have been for 5 years and almost always they have charged reasonable metered amount (Except if you take it from railway station, they ask you to pay fixed amount)

Yes they are bad. They will ask what ever amount which comes into their mind. Banning them would be a good option. Those autos are run by Higher police officials and politicians so no chance of banning them
