i guess that's why i do not face malware problems... i do not do any of these stuff i was looking for a song. could just find it on limewire. 3 versions. all three were malware files. easy to detect without using an antivirus even.

Btw, Does anyone use an anti virus on linux? Avast is having a Linux version. Is it essential for an AV on linux? :ashamed:

Currently using ZoneAlarm Pro+ Mcafee corp ed +Spybot S&D, before that it was ZoneAlarm Pro+ Norton corp ed 8+Spybot S&D. Never had any problems. Changed to Mcafee as that ed of Norton was getting long in the tooth.

mcafee is very good currently using it some people say its resource hog but it isn't i think kaspersky is a resource hog (hangs when scanning large .iso files)

How do you rate McAfee. Used it long back. Is it effective.

I find it v effective, better than the Norton corp ed I used previously.
