Check the Yahoomail Compose section. The toolbox aint displayed in Opera. Amazingly Firefox doesn't display it too. I ve to use Maxthon/IE for that.

Ofcourse there are very few sites that displays differently in Opera.
See this site: http://www.freshwebs.nl/services/index.php
Check it in Opera and IE/Max. You could notice the difference(if u c slight details). That sucks in FF too.

But i would continue to use Opera for its features. :)

as i said until and unless the site is compliant with standards as per the DTD it is using, i wont accept the fact that opera is at fault. the simple point is this. Opera is one of the closest to coming to pass the acid2 test. The company has developers of CSS 2 and CSS 3 standards on their board... The original developer of the CSS is working with them full time!

they of course know what the web is all about.

agreed! If the site is standards compliant then Opera, Firefox, Mozilla *must* display it correctly!

and yesh. opera is not the best standard compliant software out there. but it is not the worst of the lot. if i am to believe certain people, opera is one of the front runners.

Just a quick ques. How do you change the paths/directories for bookmarks, profile info, cache etc. in Opera 8 (they show up when u go to Help>>About) No such settings in registry or it's own preferences.

their is a file named opera6.ini in your profile folder.from Opera 9, you get to use opera:config from the browser itself.

Got it, thx. Also are there any style/font settings one can change so that the pages look umm..a lil nicer. Coz right now they kinda look yucky compared to IE and FF. 1 more ques, heard skype uses 112 kbps minimum. Does google talk use lesser bandwidth?...and hows the quality?...thot i'd post this here only. Also, has anyone tried netscape 8?.....any good?

fonts can be changed from the preferences or that config page. tools > advanced > fontsbasicalled the site's css has to control the styling of the page :P but yea, i hate the default font to be times new roman.

waterloo_sunset, Google talk is supposed to use less BW. But dunno for sure. I too am looking out for a good voice chat client (or FREE VoIP) to work with my sucky 64Kbps connection. If you find one then lemme know.
