Broadband Surprises with Airtel (Free upgrades for everyone)

New customers will get upto 30% discount on Airtel Broadband plans. While old customers will get so called Surprises.

Those who are not satisfied with their surprise should cancel their connection so as to avail 30% discount on new booking. Great logic by Airtel.

Edit - Now all New connections will run at Maximum feasible speed in respective areas. The new plans are based only on Data limits.

So when are they migrating old customers to Maximum feasible speeds?

Existing customers are getting 40-45% increase in their bandwidth. Not sure what the problem is.
 
That is Data limit. I am talking about speed.

Airtel is now giving maximum feasible speed to new customers. Rental only dependent on Data limit.

Maximum feasible speed in my area is 8 Mbps and new customers will get it. They have to pay for Data, not for speed. Airtel says new broadband plans are now independent of speed. They have set speed to max limits. But that's only for new customers. Old customers still getting old speeds.
 
disconnect and apply for a new connection. it costs airtel more money to disconnect a customer and acquire new one. i think the new connection charges are around 500 rupees these days. small sacrifice for double speeds that you have been seeking for so long.
 
Can't do that. I will loose my IP. On my present IP, i can choose any plan and no FUP will be applied. Hence i am looking for lowest plan with max speed.
