i want to check my snr rate then how wil i check as 192.168.1.1 dont work as well as external ip liek 117.197.xx.xx at any point of time also dont work

this is thing that even this is not working "unable to connect " error in firefox

acording to me the dhcp server is off so is ther anyway in which i can on it

again and again i have written that
192.168.1.1 and 169.254.208.56 and 117.197.xx.xx all are not displaying any thing "" this page cannot be displayed "

i also tried reset button on router 9 i tried it several times)

3.If you had reset the modem how are
you connecting to Internet without again accessing Modem settings ?

1. the new bsnl nokia siemens router does have a factory setting where when after u mess with setting and then decided to reset then it does have a vpi/vcp of 0/35 of bsnl so u can connect to internet thru pppoe

2. after pinging 192.168.1.1 request time out
192.168.1.2 request time out
Pinging 169.254.208.56 with 32 bytes of data:

I am surprised that you can browse. The actual value should be

IP - 193.168.1.2
subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1

You can change these values under TCP/IP properties. Change only if you cannot browse.

well i did exactly the same ( i feared a lot earlier thaty it may harm the ready -well-go state of system ) but it worked and yes evrything is normal thanks you and essebe for giving a time
added repper to you both
i think i sometime switched the dhcp server off that what prevented the router to take automatic ip address ratther then private address
