Hi ! I may not know the exact reason for ur problem but i came 2 know dat BSNL has given some part of it's frequency band to Aakashwani for Radio broadcast. Though it might have reduced d speed.
Dude ur lucky in the sense that when I got the BSNL bb connection it was 250 monthly plan an the download speed I got was 20kbps max.Later about after one year it increased to 190kbps download.I changed my plan to 500combo in june 2009 and the speed maintained untill now.Three days on and my download speed is down to 7kbps, I can't even hope to start a download on torrent.Any suggestions?
Whatever u do you cannot increase the speed. I'm facing the problem and harassment from bsnl since august 2010 my speeds have dropped from a whopping 220kb/s to a mere 25-30kb/s. I complained to each and every officer but no use. The exchange people are illiterate and say my modem is faulty. I changed the port in the exchange,put a new wire without any joints from my DP to my pc,everything done but still the speed is lingering. This went on the whole of august i got fed up and kept quiet...Thats what they want you to do !! Suddenly come 1st sep my speed jumped and i got back my speed and as a rude shock after 15th of sep i was crawling at 30kb/s. Again i had to repeat the whole problem now my exchange technician was iriitated and said ask the broadband guys(SDE) to come and check and show us what to do.The SDE also said its a LA problem and i will come to the exchange and verify it . Its 3 days now no response of him coming. But still u have to be back of these people to get your work done. Dont ever trust a lineman coz they can only change wires,instrument and bring a stable adsl lamp on thats it. They are useless and a burden to the economy coz they are lazy, idle their time in gossip and blame others for the problem.I faced a lot of problem from these illeterate people. They cant understand a word and read properly. Would you believe i live just 100mtrs from the exchange. WHAT A SHAME I GET THIS SPEED AND TREATMENT !!Its time BSNL pulls its socks up and gets their act together and employ people sound in technical knowledge. Do you agree?
