How do you forward specific ports on MT880 modem (this modem isn't listed at portforward.com)?

MT880 can be used in bridged mode to forward all ports ...or one may have to use NAT or Virtual Server settings .[ I have no idea how to use these settings ]

Hi,I am using dataone home ul 900 wid ppoe protocol.I tried forwarding a port for bitcomet.i configured the router and all the port scanner programs show the port which i have forwarded as open.but bitcomet jes refuses to make the yellow light green....bitcomet isnt still forwarding the port.also i wanted to know wether a port can be foewarded on a dynamic ip address...because each time i connect my ipadress changes.please help

am using smartax mt 882 modem and am connecting thru ppoe... and the torrent manager am using is utorrent
initially i port forwarded successfully via the router configuration page by setting the virtual servers... and as a result of tat utorrent incoming connection become green

but immediately after restarting my modem the router is not port forwarding....
utorrent connection remains yellow.. and if i test if the port is forwarded properly a message is displayed as "Error! Port 40044 does not appear to be open."
i tried setting the virtual server and also application with differnt ip and ports
but the problem still persists..i cant understand why my router is not port forwarding since it has port forwarded fine once.. is it is the complaint of router? or whether reinstalling xp will solve the problem?

Please also enable UPnP. After restarting your modem, also try restarting utorrent.

ya i tried tat too... but still not working... cant understand the problem.. it had worked fine once.... will reinstalling the utorrent solve the problem?

Port Forwarding for the Huawei SmartAX MT882

go here and follow instructions


OR

easy way is to chnge ur connection from PPOEO to BRIDGE mode this way all ur ports will be opned......try calling the BSNL guys if u need any assitance regarding bridge mode..
