i had like to know if there are plans with faster speeds than 4mbps with more than 100GB data transfer 
from what i see, they do not deliver 4mbps on their 4mbps plan. more like 3.5mbps which is fine going by trai regulations.
airtel on the other hand deliver more like 4.5mbps on their 4mbps connections.
also, airtel seem to have faster upload speeds 0.8mbps compared to 0.4/0.5mbps on bsnl connection.
would find out when i get my connection though.
i am getting less than 1.5 mbps for 75% time. only from 6 am to 10 am abv 3 mbps in 4 mbps scheme. if u want problem and not using net for professional purpose ,can go for bsnl. after all u will get 400 call free for 900 uld. not lucky enough to have airtel fixed line in my area

ah well. if bsnl does not deliver good speeds, i always have the option to get it disconnected in a month or two. i would not of course tolerate speeds less than 80% of what is advertised with the plan.
we have alternative to bsnl as wireline is cable broadband in kolkata , in my area. but i noticed next door the 800 kbps cable broadband have better surfing speed even when bsnl deliver 3 mbps.
and their 2 mbps limited plan just rocks. it is wishnet

my snr is very good enough so every time i complain they say woo ur line is good so there sud not be any problem.lower speed start after 10 am .
