BSNL FTTH dropping every 20-30 minutes when using ONU in bridge mode

It doesn't seem to come back to a connected state automatically - leastways not over the time periods I've monitored it after I notice a disconnect. For now I've taken it out of bridge mode and am letting it run as the router and am monitoring the PPPoE when the termination happens on the ONT+Router and not on my own router. It seems to be down at the moment...
Maybe the disconnection is a downstream problem and not an issue with my router settings :-/

Separately, would someone know what ONTs are compatible with BSNL FTTH ? I'm considering whether getting my own ONT minus the router and wifi crap is worth it but I've heard this is fiddly so not all equipment works.
Can anyone vouch for whether a Ubiquiti Ufiber Nano (Ubiquiti - UFiber Nano G) works with BSNL ? Any other favourites?

Check with your operator once. They might be able to solve it. Seems to be a line issue between your ONT and OLT.
Other available ONTs are mostly same ones just rebranded with other names DBC/Sytorech/Netlink/Optilink/Sharp and what not.
But they are not that bad to be used as a dumb device to bridge with a good router. You can try Syrotech WDONT 1110.

Regarding the Ubiquiti ONT compatibility there could be 50% chances of it being compatible since I was also searching for it earlier but came to know that it works only with Huawei, ZTE, Ubiquiti and FH OLTs (I came across this link earlier UFiber GPON - Supported Third-Party OLTs) and these are high end devices and the chances of LCO using one among these is low. In general most of the LCOs have a syrotech or netlink OLT. Check with you LCO with what brand OLT they are using. If it's a ZTE or Huawei by any chance then it will work for you.

Yup this issue still happening in 2024 coz of RX POWER being higher the -26dbm need to contact ur lco and increase power if u bought a new connection
