It doesn't seem to come back to a connected state automatically - leastways not over the time periods I've monitored it after I notice a disconnect. For now I've taken it out of bridge mode and am letting it run as the router and am monitoring the PPPoE when the termination happens on the ONT+Router and not on my own router. It seems to be down at the moment...
Maybe the disconnection is a downstream problem and not an issue with my router settings :-/
Separately, would someone know what ONTs are compatible with BSNL FTTH ? I'm considering whether getting my own ONT minus the router and wifi crap is worth it but I've heard this is fiddly so not all equipment works.
Can anyone vouch for whether a Ubiquiti Ufiber Nano (Ubiquiti - UFiber Nano G) works with BSNL ? Any other favourites?
