well i am just happy that we tried. found out yesterday that i cannot take my Daikin inverter ac from the basement to the top floor coz there is no provision to install a split there. i would have to get a new window one and i hate window one coz they are super noisy.

You have construction going on, see if some wall can be modified to accommodate the AC. I am regretting my decision of buying a window AC for mom's room because split could not be installed.

a lot of things are wrong in my new area in the house. but dad is too tired of dealing with the whole mess for the last six months so i am not adding to his woes. i should have been more involved since day one but i really had no plans to move upstairs at that time. the things are smallish and i can probably deal with them later on once the construction is over. i can live with visible wires and protruding outlet pipes for split AC. dad spent a lot of time getting it all internal for the other rooms so keeping quiet right now
