hello, i have a ut200r2u modem and a Linksys wireless router. i have setup wireless internet mode between the two using bridge mode in the BSNL modem. now everything was working fine for a few days. then i noticed that i could not open the BSNL modem page (192.168.1.1) but i could open the router page (192.168.2.1). this happens in both the laptop and the desktop. also, i cannot open some pages in the desktop. like mail.yahoo.com etc... they open but only after repeated attempts. i keep getting a "page not found"error otherwise. this happens only in the desktop, not the laptop. so these are the two problems am experiencing.. i tried to change MTU from 1500 to 1492 and 1454 but that does not work.. what else can i do?

Try a different browser. say FireFox 3.0.1 or Opera Check security settings in IE. Did you update with SP3 desktop computer's OS ?

I dont think it is the problem with the OS or the EST numbers....even i've noticed this problem with my connection..modem should be resetted and then use 192...xxx...to open the modem page...and i get a limited or no connectivity symbol with my lan (BSNL)and when using bridge mode check the details (network details) u'll not have a proper IP address i'l be something in 167 or 162.xxx.. and no default gateway assigned....I think this is due to disabling the IGMP multicast option in the bridge modewhich is enabled in the pppoe mode....but sometimes it works and i get a proper IP address of 117..xx format...

i cant seem to zero in on what is causing the problem. i tried the MTU settings. it didnt work. i tried using separate browsers but no improvement. i think the cluprit is the bridge mode setting. i had used the bridge mode setting to successfully browse wireless net. is there any other way to configure the Linksys router to work with the BSNL modem other than the bridge mode??@mahehellraiser: i get the 117 IP address all the time. ive never got the 162 IP address anytime.

@nixno no, it is always 117 only...but when u're in bridge mode check ipconfig..on your prompt....and check whether u'll have your default gateway..and network details when you dial your connection...u'll have physical address and all na u check their your ip and etc details there
