Yaay, awesome pricing! :|
fml.

This totally sucks. When prices should be coming down, speeds and bandwidth should be going up, it happens the other way around in India.
Initially, Turbo 150 was at Rs. 2099 which was increased to Rs. 2250 more than an year ago. Now, I was offered Turbo 175 at Rs. 2399. I wonder how much it costs now..Rs. 2649? This is atrocious.

I'm yet to receive information about tariff hike for my connection. But a couple of days ago, I did get a call from Airtel again and was offered the 250GB@4mbps plan which is now priced Rs. 3399 as against the earlier Rs. 3099. And as I mentioned in the last post my current 175Gb@4mbps plan costs Rs. 2649 post-hike. Ridiculous.
If the tariff hike is warranted due to costs, they could at least compensate the subscribers with an increase in speeds. For that, they need to improve the infrastructure.
Unfortunately, there isn't a better, viable and cheaper alternative.
