i have this D-Link adsl modem Model Number GLB-502THW Revision v1r2
This D-link router is a modem cum router , you have commented that it cant be used for more than 2 computers , its not correct , You might wanted to say in bridge mode it cant be used for more than 2 computers
Actual i had came across this forum because of my R& D on this particular Adsl modem GLB-502T . I had purchased it from one of the main distributor of D-link (to make you clear i had one same adsl modem earlier i was using it perfectly without any sort of problems. Actually i got this tata broadband connection and was using there tata's supplied adsl modem it was of billion make but since installation i was getting this most frustrated problem of getting disconnected frequently i had given lot of complains to the technical guys in tata but for no results so frustrated i thought of using an internationally known brand called D-D-Link ( but u kow the fact even know brands like D-LINK AND Linksys RELEASE ENTIRLY Different quality stuff and support depending upon the country they are launching in its very sad) coming to my point i tried this D-link adsl modem and for few days and to my surprise my problem was solved to some extent ( i run internet on around 10 systems ) and it was perfect but one day it was unable to connect to the net and when i went into the setup the default gateway section was showing blank i tried to reconfigure but not successful so at last i thought it might be the problem with the adsl router as it was old one so i decided to go the main dealer and get a new packed item for me and so i got one there the technical guy showed me working of it on an bsnl broadband connection and when i configured it it was working perfectly remember i configured it with tata isp settings ,but one day i just wanted to change my router default password and i changed it but few days later i forget the password so i had to reset it and from there something new problem started for me , when i tried to configure the router it was not saving the default gatway number (which was of tata isp) i tried a number of times i even tried to change the router default gatway (192.168.1.1) and system gateway matching with the tata's gateway once it saved but again it was showing blank
