Since last five days my broadband speed has been reduced to 1 mbps by airtel and after investigating for 5 days today they told me that I have exhausted by data limit of 3300 GB and my speed is not reduced to 1mbps.
I have 499 plan with 40mbps speed in my office in Delhi. Out of 10 days 8 were working days with 8 hours each day. So I used the internet for 64 hours. Now as per Airtel I have used 3300 GB of data in these 64 hours. Which means, if I'm downloading continuously then my speed should be
3300 * 1024 * 8 / 64 / 3600 = 118mbps
I asked the Airtel executive to provide the information that how much data I downloaded each day in last 10 days. They denied and said we can't provide the information but backend team has said that the data is exhausted by me. Clearly either Airtel is lying or there is a mistake in there system.
Two of my friends also experienced the same thing, one with Airtel and another with Jio.
is this something new or anyone has any idea about it?
Btw, video streaming sites, torrents, downloading, etc. is restricted in our office so we are 100% we have not exhausted the data limit.
