Diagnose Mtnl Triband Broadband Problems

What new modem should I take to use it with my D-Link DIR300 wifi router for mtnl. I want to avoid buying mtnl modem thats why thinking of buying mine. I only need modem (for wifi I already got D-Link). So can anyone advise which modem to buy and approx price for it (place is Delhi, if it matters when talking of price ).Thanks

I'm using a Beetel 110TC1. Its decent enough. My attenuation is 2.8 dBm. I got it for 700 bucks from a friend who ordered it from airtel. Thats the most convenient way imo. I'm on bsnl btw.Do get your line checked and perhaps replaced.

I have had the following problem occur once in a blue moon and its self resolved so I haven't bothered much. But its now giving me a daily downtime of a couple of hours at least. So any help will be highly appreciated.The internet stops working suddenly and the routers status page shows either "Authentication Failure" or "PPP down". The loss of connectivity last for a couple of hours and then its back online on its own. Contacting MTNL and registering complaints has been futile, as they dismiss a docket if the broadband connection is online when they call back. Anyone faced such a issue? Any known solutions?

hi guys i am from mahim area in mumbai . i am on 395 ul plan and facing very frequent disconnections . The local wireman of mtnl Yadav had once visited and checked the line with his phone and said that there was no line problem (i think it is since there is some disturbance on phone too). I have 2 modems a D-Link dsl502t provided by mtnl and a ut star wa3002 g1 provided by bsnl(i lived in area where there was bsnl before) which of this modems is better??? also is there any form to fill or do we have to inform mtnl if we have to use wifi (i cannot access internet through wifi on wa3002 g1 from android phone but it gets connected to modem) ..also is there any other person from my area facing this problem??

Which part of Mahim are you from (you can PM me that). If you have disturbance in your line then there is definitely a line problem. Can you post your line statistics? Do you have a parallel connection by any chance? If you don’t mind paying the monthly rent for the modem then you can ask MTNL to switch you to a wifi modem they will take away the existing modem they gave you & replace it with a ADSL modem cum wifi router. Currently they are giving B450TC1 modem cum WiFi router.

i live near sitladevi temple.......btw i have ut star wa 3002g1 ....isnt that a good one??? i have it since i was using bsnl before.....btw what dl speed should i expect if i have 512kbps broadband??? I also sometimes ahve a problem to open the modem page wats the reason???modem statsSNR Margin16 12 dBLine Attenuation28 18 dBbtw these stats go worse sometimes........line attenuation goes into 35-43 and snr margin goes as low as 6-9

When your attenuation goes below 10 you will face disconnections. I think you should visit Prabhadevi exchange personally & meet the SDE for your area.

Do you guyz are gettin speeds really low i mean im on 2mbps plan but speed is around 250~300 kbps(kilo bits per second)as of now its has been since 2.pm today.....let me know everybody is facing or im the only onespeedtest is not even openingfacebook is taking enormous time any other site is taking tooo long time to load...some are not even opening,airtel speedcheck is showing 152kbps speed .....lol what is happening!!!!!!
