Cool thing is even after so many years, they still allow voting if you don't have a voter id card. Any identification works.

I am already voting in several elections for last decade without voter card. My name is in voting list, so I can vote. I generally carry my PAN card as ID proof and it is accepted, though last time officer present at booth told me to get voter card next time. Though he himself was not serious in his comment
