Hi guys,

I need your help. I am planning to upgrade my internet from mtnl to excitel. I had a query about surge protector so i contacted excitel, they said you have to get yourself a surge protector. i wanted to ask, is ethernet/lan surge protector required for excitel isp?

Is this a right surge protector should i purchase? Network LAN Surge Protector RJ-45 Ethernet Surge Protector Lightning Arrester

I am from new delhi, india lives in south delhi.

Greetings. Anyone from Malviya Nagar on this connection? I've been trying to get in touch with Excitel via their website and helpline [8010922000] for the past week but haven't received a reply.

Does anyone have an alternate number or an LCO's number?

I'm getting quite frustrated with this. Might just get ACT for now and switch to Jio when it launches. :/

I am on excitel's ₹ 1159 plan. My non-peering speed has been increased from 10 mbps to 15 mbps. Does anyone else experienced the same increase in speeds ?

Yes they increase 5Mbps non-peering speed on all plan & increase 40Rs ON 759 & 1659 plan.
No price hike in your plan. i.e 1159rs

NO need for serge protection For Excitel isp.
you just need, your Own Router. plug connection wire[RJ45] config. router and you are ready to use.

Well ask your LCO if he has protection against lightning if no than go for it otherwise no need. Personally, I don't think it is needed right now as rain will go away by next month

How is it going with Excitel..... Downtimes and other issues....

Yesterday I saw the post from Bulletstorm and was once again tempted by 10Mbps@800....

As for YNetworks it is going pretty stable....... almost no downtimes..... and biggest advantage I have is the LCO next door....

Excitel has also started the service in my area..... but it is from Lal Mandir, Radhey puri as you said earlier.... Excitel also charges 500 installation....

My friend at Yojna Vihar is using Siticable [email protected] says that connection is stable and he gets atleast 25 Mbps.... but sadly it is not yet available at Krishna Nagar.......

Do update about the network conditions......

excitel is in my area too
New Rohtak Road near karol bagh so want to know if it's stable and good
plus currently with ani but they charging 2100 rs for 300 gb 10mbps not 900 rs and someone mentioned previously
