Fair Usage Policy on Airtel IPTV Plans #airtelsucks

The woman who took my request for migration to 1299 clearly said on crossing 15 GB FUP, my speed will decrease to 256 KBps.

The key words here are 15 and 256 NOT 25 & 512!!

Say Helloooooo to the Year 2000!

haha. just do the needful. send the mail. get some form of confirmation on email. use that as a documented proof. profit!!!

if the email to me is any hint, customer care folks and their online packages are wrong. though the vice versa seems to be truth. sadly.

Sadly, I seem to have put myself into a position that I may have to change services.This FUP is ridiculous. If my nighttime speeds are tampered with, I really have no choice but to migrate to MTNL.I am done sending e-mails and stuff. i have not recieved any clarification for the email is sent to airtel presence a few days back...I will just see for myself what happens in the new 1299 plan. if it turns out to be indeed as BAD as I think it is, I will go to MTNL.

alright. i would see if i get a reply to my email and post here. let's hope for something good. this is becoming a pain to deal with. finding details about your internet connection was never THIS complicated.

since the past 2-3 days, I am being forced to restart my router in order to get night-time double speeds.This was not the case earlier. The speeds would double automatically at night without having to restart the router.Airtel is seriously trying to make people NOT use their full alloted speeds.Another MASSIVE fail!This type of thing happens in sarkari cos. like MTNL!

this router restarter thing has me increasingly convinced that this new 15 GB FUP BS is indeed true.This is such a huge disappointment....

just came back from the airtel customer care center in gurgaon.

the guys had no idea that they have replaced the older IPTV plans with new ones.

took them a while to realize that the printout they were carrying had new plans and not old ones.

the printout was of this PDF file https://goo.gl/Of34

i pointed out the mistake. the guy looked baffled for a minute. made 2-3 calls. having no answer he simply stated that there is just one typo in the PDF file.

magic 999 has FUP of 8GB. 512kbps goes down to 256kbps.
magic 1299 has FUP of 15GB. 1mbps goes down to 256kbps.

well. as we all know now. airtel sucks.

did u ask him if this downgrade in speeds will apply during night also?

dude. these new plans do not have day-night speed difference. these are regular plans with constant speed throughout the day. i am not sure why you are assuming that these plans would have different speeds at night! the 512k-1mbps plan was available earlier. not any longer.
