@DentXXX I have wrote feedback to Steam support and they mentioned that they forwarded it to the appropriate department. Considering it is Steam, I have high hopes for them, even though this usually means "not gonna do anything".
I might post about it there as well, if they revert back to Fastly CDN for me.
You can change regions, or if you are using your own DNS, then rewrite records to non-Fastly servers for relevant domains with *.steamserver.net & *.valve.net. However, for this you'd need to check the domains your client makes.
This could be temporary, but Imgur is now loading images/videos from Fastly US servers, and even though the ping is much higher, their website is loading instantly now.
As for Steam, it is using Akamai CDN for me, so it is also fast now.
