yeap. CRTs have more or less disappeared. 29" models are hard to find. the few options available are crappy ones. they have literally made it impossible to get one as they push you to get the more expensive LCDs which have a shorter shelf life.
Heheheh, CRT is available, but they aren't branded or something. Its made by gujju and marwadi guys who get parts from china and from raddhi, then they assemble it in lamington and crawford and sell it for under 5k, so the garib manoos can get a TV,But, its not really a good deal for someone who's more knowledgeable and not suck up their options to whatever is put on display in the Electronic ka dukkan..

hehehe, if your missing your childhood era's or missing the 1990's ... then get one or else, get the cheapest LCD you can buy, so you can abuse it and not care if after the warranty it breakdown or not, who knows you'll pay less than 20k for LCD and it goes more than your expectation,, then that's like bhagwan ka ashirwad and your luck too

in my own experience... my 4 year old 10K 29" CRT had a much better image quality compared to a 35K 29" Hitachi LCD.
