well. i just moved from dreamhost to Linode like 20 minutes ago. so do give it a try.

What's special in Linode?.

nothing. i could have used DigitalOcean or vultr or any of the other companies. it is dreamhost which has become the problem. they fucked their vps plans a while ago making them just as sad as shared plans. i was just being lazy in moving away because it is just easier to manage. on Linode, i am dependent upon a friend who helps me with configuring the server. plus of course, there is zero support from linode wrt software because they are only providing the hardware. i do get around 3-4 times more resources for around the same cost. plus server is in singapore so performance is boosted. plus i have more control over the server so i can add php modules that helps with caching and further improve performance.
