enabled pdf uploads. file limit increased to 8MB. also enabled uploads of generic files. this feature is aimed at firmware. since different routers have different file extensions, just add .firmware to the file and upload. again 8MB limit.
I was facing some speed issue with JioFiber last night (I am not sure if that is fixed) but forum is loading slow since then. It takes like 5-10 minutes for me to wait and the the forum loads.
Interesting Thing: It is happening only when I am signed into my account. It doesn't happen if I am logged out of my account (Forum Account).
Is there anyone else who is also noticing the same?
@Sushubh If you could help me too and check what's wrong?
Edit: Checked on Airtel Broadband also. It's happening there also.
I have already cleared the cache and cookies multiple times but then also it is not resolving the issue. I have tried incognito, as said, It works fine when logged out but when logged in, it doesn't load at all and take 15-20 minutes averagely to load anything.
A question for iOS users. I assume your iPhone is now saving images in HEIC format. What happens when you try to share a photo inside web browser. On my Samsung, it tries to upload HEIC which is well not supported on most platforms including Twitter. From what I understand, iOS fixed this issue by showing images in file manager in JPG format?
that should work for uploaded images. but not for hotlinked images. that's the only option i have and it's enabled. and also restricted to attached images not embedded. so very limited.
lol. i am storing both images on s3 now. because i have lost a LOT OF images over the years because of services shutting down or my own mistake stupidity. so both are ok with me. but i would personally prefer to have memes and shitpostings hotlinked. and actual relevant images uploaded. s3 storage is cheap but bandwidth is an issue. i am already close to the point where getting block storage on DO would be cheaper than keep using s3.
so... i turned on google auto-ads last night to see if it brings any improvement to ad revenue. this also means that google ends up inserting ads at weird places and sometimes too many on a page. if anyone is still browsing the forum without an ad blocker, feel free to pm me and i would disable ads on their account.
