I too face this problem sometimes but refreshing the page will solve the issue atleast for me.

Yup it seems like sometimes the page load without executing Javascript disabling components of the page. Usually happens on pages that haven't been loaded in a while like old threads or old pages of popular threads.

here is the bug report that is causing issues on canary builds of chrome and edge. but on stable builds, it should be fine unless some extension is causing issues.

Try on incognito to confirm if this is related to some extension

Thanks! Its working perfectly in incognito mode

An application SteelCentral Aternity was pushed by the IT team, an extension for chrome also got installed, this was causing the issue.
