it is sort of better at my end as well. i guess cloudflare local points are choked for free account users. i had pay but their base plan is like 4 times what i pay for my hosting lol.

Forum is quite well optimized though, 46 at pagespeed. Most of the sites I see nowadays are between 6-10.

Even techenclave is at 26.

xenforo is just not designed to do well on that test. they load two font files which are like 500KB on first load. they also load JS worth another 300-400KB. sure on second load these things are usually cached. but on pagespeed and similar tests, it is never going to perform well. plus google adsense is not helping. there was a time when google ads were the first thing that appeared on the page because they just loaded so fast. and now they are the last to load. visually it is probably due to async. but if you check network tab in devtools... they add just too much time to the loading time of the page.

That could be it, cause I was getting routed to Cloudflare Tokyo 😅😅

Anyway appears better now. Will post back if I see any degradation.

google's new web vitals measuring platform are very weird. i mean forum performance here in india is insanely fast. but if you try it on web vitals tool, the values are so terrible. i am not sure if it is due to their test servers being located in usa. which would be weird because it would mean that they expect all websites to do extremely well for us traffic even though the websites have zero value to american users.

or maybe not. things have improved from the last time i checked this page.
