Just curious, have you tried to monetize the forum any other means apart from featureset/donations(and obvious Ads/affiliates) in the past?

Trust is a very valued commodity if leveraged wisely.

Maybe if not sponsored content then you can find something other way to sell the credibility/aura of trust this forum has built.

For e.g. restricted buying forum where only forum member who are vetted or well-trusted can post offer and only either very senior respected members or those who support forum can post 'buy' bids.
Like everyone can use public buy/sell forum but they don't know who they are getting deal with whereas they can have assurance of fair play / comfort of trust that they are not buying from ghosts in those restricted forum, an air of trust.

IBF can get IEC license and buy things on behalf of IBF patrons

IBF patrons can have access to IBF private servers for hosting certain files.

IBF patrons can get access to cloud servers which can give them low latency pings for gaming when used as VPN( it is economically feasible as gaming communication uses less data)

This is the best I could think right now, I feel this forum has to reign in r/IndianGaming and serious Networking professionals if it has to go further than users just complaining,solving and ranting about their internet down problems.

$2 cents from a guy who never ran a forum, you can't even buy a salt sachet with this.

oooh. interesting ideas. i never considered taking this route. i have been considering getting out of this for a while now. would have been worth considering if i had the user base (technical expertise and of course interest in the field). but yes, taking this route 10 years ago would probably have been pretty cool.

negligible. probably less than 3%. please do not divert focus on revenue generation. i am pretty burnt out with no energy to experiment with anything major right now. i am not asking for donations for running this site. or for my expenses. that post was related to one specific feature that might improve user experience of everyone here. i am not seeking recurring donations or financial support in any way! you guys do not owe me anything! you provide content. you answer each other queries. i shitpost and keep this site online.

Just keep the forum afloat. We've many ideas on how you can take this forward. And yes, a lot could've been done in the last 10 years. But, I don't think there's any reason to give up right now.
