S Badrinath and Mithun in India squad for first Test against SA
S Badrinath, the Tamil Nadu batsman, was virtually assured of a Test debut after he was one of only six specialist batsmen named in the 15-man squad for the first Test against South Africa. During their tour of Bangladesh, India lost Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh to injuries, but the selectors named just one batting replacement. The squad also featured Karnataka fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun as replacement for the injured Sreesanth, and Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha for Dinesh Karthik

India squad for first Test: MS Dhoni (capt/wk), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, S Badrinath, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Amit Mishra, Pragyan Ojha, Ishant Sharma, M Vijay, Sudeep Tyagi, Abhimanyu Mithun, Wriddhiman Saha.

Expecting to be a great series. But India already on backfoot due to unavailability of Dravid. Hope new comers may take up responsibility in middle-order for Dravid.

Mithun inclusion is a great news, He deserves the place. But am still disappointed not to see cheteshwar pujara, He had a great Ranji season for Saurashtra .

After playing & winning against Bangladesh, India seem to lost interest in No. 1 spot. Still 259 to go with (only) 8 wickets remaining to avoid innings defeat. Looks like defeat is inevitable for India in 1st test.

Two words, Rahul Dravid, make the whole difference!
