ah well it is technically java running over linux or something like that. nothing should happen. except for random crashes :D there have been some rogue apps on the google android market. so do not fool around downloading hot wallpaper apps.

Lol yeah even otherwise the wife would murder me if she sees haha :)

Oh btw! your display avatar looks cute! Lol look at you naughty as ever :D

heh. friends say that my face has not changed a bit since childhood. anyways. now that you have an android device, you can buzz me anytime using pingchat on wifi/gprs... free! it is pretty awesome. my id is sushubh there. do check it out. i need to play around with it myself!

@aussie..it dont think it should slow down coz these small devices use flash memory unlike magnetic storage..so it should not get fragmented..i too use lookout but it seems to slow down the phone slightly

the problem is not how it consumes disk space. the problem is how much junk it leaves running all the time. of course, android should be smart enough to clean up the mess once you uninstall the thing. i believe all apps run in a sandbox.

^dude, i was answering aussie's question quoted below...

So what happens if you keep installing and uninstalling apps? Hope it doesnt slow the phone like Windows lol

solid state is different from magnetic storage..there are no moving parts..no heads seeking fragmented parts in different sectors..so no matter what the OS..there should be no issue with installation and uninstallation slowing the card/phone..linux filesystems are inherently more organised but occasionally even linux might need defragging if running on magnetic storage.
