Thank you SVK Appreciate your wishes.. I was so damn impressed by 'Android' so far that I've even changed my nick here to droidsuree. :)

So far from what I've used Android seems a lot lot better than Symbian, IOS and Winmo in my humble opinion.. I like the fact that the phone is extremely customizable! meaning you are not restricted like any other OS. and 2.1 itself seems fast for me.. Wonder how my phone will rock when 2.2 comes to Galaxy S :-D

@droidsureei also have the Galaxy s amazing phone but poor battery life... for how long does battery last on yours ???some prosgood displaysnappylight weightdivx videoconspoor wifi (my ipod touch's range is better)NO FLASH for cameraspeaker placementbad earphones in boxwhat are the benefits of rooting ??i want to connect a wii remote to it which is currently not possible..

mind posting some pics of the device and packaging?
anyways there are reports that from Gingerbread onwards, there won't be third party customizations (like HTC Sense, Moto Blur)
Android 3.0 Gingerbread details: 1280×760 resolution, 1Ghz minimum specs, mid-Oct. release » Unwired View

Buddy, I found this video on youtube and my phone and package are similar! and hey it aint me doing the video :)! - Samsung I9000 Unboxing (india)[/URL]

Wow good to hear that you too got a Galaxy S Anuj! My battery lasts for a day of extreme use with calls for 1 hour, wifi on for 24 hrs and videos and 1 and 1/2 days incase of casual use making only phone calls and wifi turned on only when needed.

Why dont you try some task killers and kill most/all tasks running in the background buddy?

Ya i too tried connecting the wiimote with 3 apps from the market but no use...

As for rooting, I found this great article. Check it out.. http://gpsmaestro.com/5-good-reasons-to-root-your-android-phone/

and how do i use navigation google maps???

heh yeah. i have not understood how the sms client works at all. messages are not threaded properly. google maps navigation does not support voice based updates in india. you can just get the route directions like u get on google maps on desktops.

Yeah the Android Veteran has answered your Qs! :) But personally I didnt experience the Sms bug yet or perhaps I didnt notice.. and also am using Handcent sms.. which seems pretty good for me.. Hey I got a question for you Anuj, how do you switch between Touch wiz 3.0 and other similar launchers?
