My Google market place does not seem to update to the latest version by itself it still stands as 1714... I am missing the "Update all" feature badly... How do I get this back on my i9000?Thank you

Nope buddy, it was available in 2.1 itself but when I sent it for repair it came back with default old one with no update all feature

Nope.. I tried to flash a firmware via ODIN and did something which I was not supposed to! (namely I'd enabled the repartition option in ODIN) and also since my phone didnt have 3 button recovery modes I'd no choice but to send it back for repair since the phone was stuck in the famous brick logo (Phone --- /!\ --- PC)

The phone (Samsung I9000 Galaxy S) ... purchased about fifteen days ago, does not have Froyo OS installed. It still has Eclair which is Android v2.1 Could someone guide how the upgrade in OS is to be done to Android v2.2 ? Various 'experts' just say, go to Samsung website and its easily done. I am not sure ... since my search does not show how this can be done safely and fully. Detailed Guidance please ... some one ... Admin?
